Pandemic

"How I wish ...If we could uninstall 2020 and reinstall it?? It has a Virus.."
Things have really changed within a matter of few days, months in the whole world. COVID-19 cases have rose to 445,854 . Death Tolls at 19,786. World's economy have  come to a standstill.  I don't know where are we leading and what will happen to us . People are working from home . Children are not allowed to go out.
Nature is communicating with us .Nature has begun reclaiming its space. All this while we humans have taken over the earth. Encroached the territory of other living beings .We never cared for our mother nature.. We forgot that we share this planet with other living organisms. We humans cannot be bringing down forest , destroying habitats ,polluting oceans and putting the survival of the other habitats at stake. Air pollution causes cancer and many more health issues. It not only kills us but also animals and plants.
This Corona Virus had pressed the re-set button in our life. Very less pollution. People are able to breathe fresh air. Animals are moving freely on the roads and whereabouts. No fear of humans. From clearer water to emptier trains in London. In Paris tourist spots are deserted. Canals in Italy are never seen this clear for years. The Sky is more blue and healthy .Entertainment centers, tourist spots ,education institution have closed down. Public roads are empty. Water bodies are cleaner. Less cars, less airplanes ,less factories.
Families are spending time together . Fishes are seen coming back to water . Dolphins have returned to Italy's coast. Otters are moving freely in Singapore. Thanks to the empty public spaces.
Once we win the COVID-19,we need to remember the lesson we learnt and then start over. Let this Corona Virus leave with us a message that learn to co exist with the other species otherwise nature will fine its own way to reclaim its space

                                                 The Mango Story

Narrator 1: There lived two farmers Abu and Babu in the kingdom of King Akbar. They both were neighbours. There was a mango tree between their fields. The tree was full of ripe mangoes. Babu was about to take some fruits when Abu came there.

Abu: Hey, Don’t touch them. The tree belongs to me .

Babu: No, It belongs to me .

Narrator 1 : They continued  arguing  for a long time until Babu thought of an idea.

Babu: We will go to Birbal ,the great who will judge us fair.

Narrator 2: They both came to Birbal seeking for justice .

Abu: Sir, There is a big mango tree on the edge of my farm which belongs to me. Now Babu says ,it is his.

Babu: Sir ,it belongs to me . I have been watering it right from the time it was a sapling.

Birbal: You may go home now. And come tomorrow.

Narrator 2: As soon as the two farmers left Birbal sent word for his trusted man named Bheema

Birbal: Go to their houses in the evening and tell them that some thieves are stealing mangoes from the tree. Don’t forget to report their reactions to me.

Narrator2:  Bheema went to Abu house and said.

Bheema: Sir, the mangoes are being stolen.

Abu: I have some urgent work now.I will look into the matter later.

Narrator2:  Bheema then went to Babu’s house and said.

Bheema: Sir, the mangoes are being stolen

Narrator 3: When Babu heard the news he ran towards the tree with a stick.Bheema went back and reported everything to Birbal…Next day at Birbal’s court ,he asked again that to whom the tree belonged to..But both of them said it belongs to them.

Birbal: Since, I find it difficult to settle this issue, I order that the mangoes be plucked and divided equally between the two. And the tree will be cut down and the woods too will be equally divided.

Narrator 1: Abu felt very happy because he is getting both mango and a part of the tree. On the other hand Babu felt sad.

Babu: You are fair ,Sir! Sir, I have watered and cared for the tree for more than ten years .I cant see it being cut. Let Abu take the tree.

Narrator 2: After listening both of them ,Birbal decided that Babu is rightful owner and Abu will not get anything.

Moral:

                                                Teacher day

Narrator 1: Surdas was an eager student who wanted to learn about holiness. He met a teacher who accepted him as his disciple. The teacher found that Surdas was hampered by his quality of getting angry easily, which prevented him from learning. So, the teacher decided to make Surdas shed his anger.

Teacher: Surdas, You can be my student. But for that you need to complete a task.

Surdas: Thank you teacher. Yes, I am ready for the task.

Teacher: You need to chant god’s name while doing all your activities for one month and then come and meet me .

Surdas: Ok teacher…As you say..I will complete the task and then meet you after a month.

Narrator 2: Surdas followed the teacher’s instruction and the day after one month, he went to meet his Guru . On the way to the teachers ashram…..

(sweeper sweeping the dirt on the street, carelessly put dirt on surdas)

Surdas: (very angrily)  how can you be so careless. Can’t you see while sweeping. Go away you dirty man.

Narrator 2: Surdas went back home, took bath, changed his clothes and then met his teacher.

Surdas : Teacher..As promised I have finished the task that you have given me.

Teacher: Surdas, you are still not ready to learn .You have to chant god’s name for another month while doing your activities.

Narrator 2: So Surdas went back home. After a month ,he eagerly went to his teacher’s ashram and the same thing happen again.Surdas became angry again and blamed the sweeper.

Narrator 1: After bathing, he met his teacher who in returned asked him to chant god’s name for one more month. One more month passed away and this time the same incident happened when Surdas went to meet his teacher. However, this time Surdas addressed him softly.

Surdas: Thank you…you are my master..you have helped me to overcome my anger.

Narrator 2: The sweeper felt bad for his action. This time as Surdas approached his teacher’s ashram. he could see his teacher standing in front of the gate to welcome him.

Teacher: Surdas ….my child….finally you have completed the task..and now you are ready to learn and gain knowledge.(hugs)

Moral: A teacher knows what a student is lacking of and knows the way that would teach the children…As student we must have faith in our teacher’s word and follow them with devotion.

Ever since I stepped into motherhood I gave up my career . I spent 5 long years with my daughter at home . I enjoyed every step of her growing stage. My daughter was 4.5 yrs when I wanted to start my career again . But now the question arise will I be comfortable working as before. Will I be able to stay away from my daughter for 10-11 hrs . My inner voice said I wont be able to stay away from her for so long hours. I had researched a lot about part time jobs and work from home option. But nothing was working out fine . Then one fine day I  approached my daughter's preschool for vacancy. I was called for an interview and got selected . WOW!!!! I felt very confident. henceforth I started  working here as a preschool teacher.

Working as a preschool teacher gives me the pleasure of moulding so many tiny little brains.I feel thrilled when i see a child's eyes light up when they try or learn new things. When they are suddenly able to make the letters in their name. or do something which they aren't able to do previously, i get as excited as they do . When a class full of 4-5 yrs old suddenly takes interest in letters, words, rhyming, trying to read, it makes every day worth it. When my preschoolers are lined up  waiting to  come to class ,and then run in and give me a hug ,it warms my heart.

One amazing thing about children is that they learn in whatever they are doing. If they are playing in sand play, they are developing fine motor skills by scooping and dumping, they are learning about volume as they discover how much sand can fit into the bucket.

Not every day is easy. Sometimes there are days where my patience level is tested to the limit. There are days when i come from work and i don't want to talk to anyone. But most of the days i come home as happy as i am tired. Though there are many things i like doing apart from work , none of them are fulfilling as teaching those young ones who soaks into the knowledge that i give them

Love

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr

Love is an universal feeling that is felt by every living being on this earth.Plants and animals everyone is acquainted with this strange emotion. Though there is no definition to describe this unique feeling of love, it is characterized by a sense of attachment and affection towards somebody or something. So strong is the feeling that it is said that it makes the world go around. Love satisfies the emotional needs of human beings. It is this feeling of love, which is responsible for the existence and maintenance of the society. When a baby is born, parents forget about their hunger, sleep, as they are so much in love with their child.Love exceeds all boundaries and has great potential of changing lives.

It is such a feeling that it allows to treat everyone with kindness and compassion. It might be any relation binding us together; love is found in different forms. A passionate lover’s kiss, a tender mother’s touch, a fatherly concern or a brotherly, sisterly affection, everything expresses love.

I think one of the main reasons we come, as spirits, into this physical realm, is to feel love through our hearts. Its never wrong to love. But sometimes it hurts too. There is no one who hasn't expereienced it .Love happens and love can complete itself. It is an energy that feels good & feels alive. When one doesn't have it life is dull

Love is the grease that allows the wheel of life to continue turning. For when we love we look beyond ourselves, beyond our needs and desires. We sacrifice our time, our energy, our wishes, and sometimes even ourselves because of love. Sometimes it is for an immediate person or group that we know intimately and love completely, but other times it is for a larger group of people that we don't really know or perhaps even like. It is love that allows law of enforcement and emergency services personnel to face danger. It is love that allows soldiers to risk everything. Love makes heroes every day in every corner of the world

Love is said to be in full blossomed, when mutual love is felt. Mutual love ensures fidelity, trust, help and support and harmonious cohabitation. Yes love makes the house a home, a place where everyone can live with bliss and joy. One must be psychologically mature, this implies that one must be rational and have a mind that tends to act normally under any circumstances

In conclusion,Love is a very necessary feeling in life because it is wonderful and magical. Also it holds people together in a way to help and care about each other .

Parents, when their offspring enter the dreaded teenage , look back nostalgically on the days when their children hadn't learned to speak yet, were cute and adoring, and hung on to every word that their parents said. One day, puberty happens and the sweet angels of yesterday begin to act like their parents are their worst enemies
My mom often complains about my sister"I dont know whats wrong with maina. She always argues with me for the silliest things.A single day doesnt even pass without she screamimg at me and storming out of the room.I dont know what to do with her.In our days we never raise our voice to our parents."

Teenagers are always talking about their freedom, usually in context of how their parents are obstacles. The minute you give children a curfew, or object to their clothes or hair, or do not allow them to go out, you become the evil dictator who will never understand. Suddenly, 'generation gap' becomes a buzzword. It's as if one day you and your child find yourselves on opposite sides of the fence and there's no meeting ground. Each one feels that the other is speaking a foreign language. Teenagers may not know it or admit it, but they need their parents to guide them about what's right and what's wrong.

This is the time when teenagers try to become individuals in their own right and try to move out from under the protective wing of their parents. They will try out many things in order to be 'in' with the crowd . This is not the time to play the great dictator and alienate your children. Talk to them, but don't talk down to them. The way to do it, is not by making yourself out to be their enemy and coming down on them heavily for every wrongdoing.

Parents tend to forget that they were teenagers too once and their contentment doesn't win them any points with their children. Most parents tend to forget that babies do grow up someday and when the time comes, they must let them go and find their own way in the world. You can't protect your children forever and they won't thank you if you try to.

New life

You've been waiting for this day for months. Finally you get to meet your new baby. But like many new parents, you might not have a clear idea of what that meeting will be like.
Wondering how your baby will look and what he or she will do after arriving?
Although you may have visions of a robust bouncing baby, reality may not match that image. Many newborns are tiny, wet creatures when they first emerge. Often their heads are slightly pointed as a result of passing through the birth canal. This is only temporary — the head will take on a rounded appearance within a few days. You may be suprised that a newborn's head is so big compared with the rest of the body.Your baby also may look crumped since the legs and arms have been kept bent at the knees and elbows while in the womb. Your baby's tiny fingers and toes. Your baby's skin may have one of several possible appearances, looking somewhat red, pink, or purple at first.Rashes, or tiny red and white spots also are common on newborns. These generally clear up over the first few days or weeks after birth.Baby's appearance will change dramatically over the next few weeks as he or she grows. The limbs will extend, the skin tone will probably change.

Newborn baby will go through a few procedures which will include head circumference, weight and length measurement.

The medical staff will dry your baby and place a blanket around him or her. All of this happens very quickly, and before you know it your baby is in your arms for some special bonding time.

Right after birth, a newborn's eyes are open quite a bit and babies spend a lot of time studying faces — especially their parents'. Your baby may turn or react to the sound of your voices. Your baby is using all of the senses, including smell and touch, to further identify and become attached to you.Your newborn will cry, sleep, and at times will look directly into your eyes.Your baby will grab onto your finger if you place it in his or her palm.Intially babies sleep for 24 hrs.Its important to wake them up every 2 -3 hrs and breast feed them.

The mother has to breastfeed the baby as soon as the baby is in her hands.Although milk probably won't fully come in for another day or two.

Having a baby is a major, life-changing experience. You may experience everything from joy to concern . And your feelings may change suddenly and unpredictably. There's a good chance she'll be exhausted, and both parents may start feeling the effects of sleep deprivation.
Every parent reacts differently. Some mothers "forget" the difficulties of labor as soon as they catch a glimpse of their newborns. Some feel high levels of energy driven by the excitement of finally having the baby. Still others feel sad and may experience baby blues or the more serious problems.

When your baby is born, you'll enter an entirely new phase of your life. Take the time during your baby's first days to savor this new beginning.
